To Parents and Members of the Romanian Language Community:
It is with great delight that I write to extend my congratulations to you all on the launch of this excellent publication that will help to keep you on top of program activities in the International Languages- Romanian classes held at Milne Valley School. I want to acknowledge, in particular, the dedicated volunteer parents. committee which has been involved in maintaining and increasing the enrolment of the students in the program through their personal contacts and active program promotion. I also want to acknowledge our Romanian language instructors who are part of the International Languages program in the Continuing Education department. These instructors are very committed to preparing engaging lesson plans and classroom activities which build on student interests, ages & level of knowledge of the language. Through language instruction and cultural experiences in the IL-E/AH program, our children will learn about their heritage and develop tolerance and empathy for other cultures and languages as well. We are delighted to have the Romanian Languages as an important part of the TDSB.
